Life-hack: just angle your rear-view mirror to send the high beams right back at them. No trunk mods needed :D

Rear fog lights are an excellent alternative.

Thankfully I have auto- dim mirrors so in reality this isn’t an issue for me anymore. I’ll keep it in mind though.

Auto-dimming might ruin the “Right back at ya” effect :(

I’m about ready to take it as an act of hostility when i see someone driving with their brights on. People seriously just leave them turned on here. It’s infuriating.

This is where the reverse lights on my truck are the best. They’re just old school spotlights, because it didn’t come with reverse lights from the factory. And they’re controlled by an independent switch on the dash. I can, and have, done the above to people who are high-beaming me, or or just tailgating me. It’s lovely.

Once again Jeep saves the day. Because the windshield has to be able to drop, it’s trivial to unplug the rear view mirror, even while driving.

Ya that life hack is a lie.

This works well in those instances:
Usually only takes one quick blip of the switch and they get the hint.

This is why I have LED pods mounted to the back of my roof basket.

I'd do it, and then 20-odd other people in front of me would suffer as well.

I only do it when it’s me and the offending vehicle, otherwise I just hit my normal high beams so hopefully the offender gets the hint without bothering the cars behind them.
